This is the older vintage Noblet with the rounded rectangular mark with an N circled above this. I believe this is a 45 series. The two main pieces have matching serial numbers.
The clarinet is in good shape with no major scratches or dings. The pads all look to be in good shape and still make a seal to play. The case is an older alligator case and is marked Leblanc on the hingesaris, the clarinet also says Noblet N Paris France on the seal on the main piece. Beautiful Noblet 27 wood clarinet made in Paris France. Pictures do not justify the wonderful wood grain and color this clarinet has. Overall in very good condition. All keys seem to operate smoothly, cork is solid and still soft, pads appear to be in nice condition see close up picture I do not see any cracks, only very minor light handling marks here and there. Both body pieces marked with serial number"A" Joints are tight. This instrument does not appear to have been used extensively.
Mouth piece has expected scuffs and scratches. Again cork is plyable as well. Comes with everything pictured including 5 piece clarinet. As pictured, the case shows wear and has a tear on the inside padding, but the case did it's I am not an instrument expert.

The bell appears to be missing the silver ring at the end if it had one The case is worn and shows it's age. There are two latches- one doesn't work. This instrument may need new pads and some fine tuning. However not mandatory.

Not sure on years but keywork is inline, sculpted like Leblanc but sheet metal trill key guide. Noblet emblem has the double diamond, thus a newer emblem.
The Artist model is physically the same as the regular 45 except it has hand selected aged wood. Noblet 45 Laureate — the Noblet 45 laureate was an interesting model. It seems completely similar to the regular 45 except that it has some really nice engraving on the bell.
Thus with the Laureate you get nice engraving!! Playing Characteristics. These were paper lists faxed to me. The computers only had a few years in them by comparison. One day I called early before the Call Center opened and this one lady took my name and fax number and faxed the lists to me. This C clarinet is an example of a simple Albert keywork back when Boxwood was the preferred choice. The early Noblet 40s were over engineered clarinets. Each post had a set screw and each post had a set screw tab on it.
I will provide some before and after pictures of this amazing early Noblet The oddest part of this Noblet is the emblem. It clearly is the more complex emblem. But if you look below at the three versions of the lyre and oval it starts out simple and gets more complex over time. But this is the 3rd more complex emblem. It really makes no sense as the serial number is very low, and the emblem is very new.
Right now this is an anomoly that needs further research -I have had people email me in the past with anomolies like this so now it is even more confusing.
