Whilst in theory they are both somewhat correct, there are issues with the connection status within game. Coming from someone who streams live and keeps a constant eye on data package loss, what looses those packets, how many packets are being lost etc for somewhat obvious reasons..
I also notice that a common answer is "check other software on your device that maybe interfering with PTCGO". That in itself is passing the blame on to other programs, which would include Antivirus, ad blockers, editing software Thank you WelshPika. My point is the blame is always quickly pointed at the user and not at the game itself. I shouldn't have to disclose the full setup, but using a business grade connection I run my own IT business so I know what I'm doing! I know the problem isn't my end.
I do completely understand how disappointedly you could feel when you are trying to raise the problem, and it looks like it's reverted to your side. This is not the case mostly. Any troubleshooting steps are usually felt annoying from the user side. However, this is something any tech would ask to do first to eliminate the possibility of the problem occurred on the device or caused by connection troubles.
Being tech-savvy I'm sure you know that data loss happens all the time despite how good your connection is, the question is only how huge that loss is and what's the impact. You can also know that your connection might be great and stable to most of the servers, but there always will be some servers that are not that easy to access depending on your region, provider and other factors.
And you surely know that antivirus, firewall, ad blockers, your PC settings can have a specific impact that we can't foresee in advance just because the amount of hardware and software combinations is almost endless. That being said, I've passed your report to the developers for the review and investigation as well.
