When I try and cross reference them to a table in the document only footnotes appear in my options under 'footnotes' in the cross reference tab. It's driving me up the wall this, I've tried format brushing the other two footnotes that appear in Cross references to make the third footnote again but to no avail. I've deleted footnotes then tried to add them manually one by one and it only let's me add 2 footnotes and not a third.
When I try and add the third footnote it begins editing the text of the 2nd footnote by adding an additional '2' to the '2' that is already denoting the 2nd footnote. I cannot reproduce the issue in my computer, and I wonder if there are some macros to limit the number of footnote of this file to 2?
Try to open the file in safe mode to check the issue. And I also wonder whether the issue occurs in only this file or all files? The last option is that copy the content into a new file and insert the footnote to check the issue, if this issue occurs in only one file.
